Work For Us
Retail & Hospitality Manager - Hadleigh
Up to 30 hours per week (3–4 days)
Weekend and evening availability required
We're looking for someone who wants more than just a management job.
At Frankie's Studio, we're building something special—a beautiful lifestyle shop, café and creative space that celebrates independent makers, thoughtful design and genuine hospitality. Alongside our daytime café, we're growing our evening offering with wine, cocktails, workshops and events, creating a place where people love to spend time.
We're not looking for someone to simply manage what already exists—we're looking for someone who is excited to help build what comes next.
We're looking for a Retail & Hospitality Manager who shares that vision. Someone who is excited to take ownership, lead a brilliant team and help shape the future of the business as we continue to grow.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. One day you might be creating beautiful shop displays, the next training the team, hosting an evening event or helping develop new ideas for the café. If you enjoy variety, love independent businesses and naturally look for ways to improve things, we'd love to hear from you.
Your role
You'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day running of our Hadleigh shop, café and evening bar while working closely with the management team to continue developing the business.
You'll set the standard for customer experience, support and inspire the team, ensuring everything runs smoothly—from opening the doors in the morning to creating memorable evenings for our customers.
You'll have autonomy to influence everything from seasonal menus and merchandising to events, team development and the overall customer experience. We want someone who enjoys bringing ideas to the table and seeing them come to life.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the shop, café and evening bar.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for every visitor.
- Lead, support and train the team, helping everyone grow in confidence and maintain consistently high standards.
- Take ownership of the café and evening experience, ensuring every service feels relaxed, welcoming and well organised.
- Curate beautiful shop displays and seasonal merchandising that reflect the Frankie's Studio brand.
- Think creatively about new events, collaborations and ideas that help grow the business.
- Spot opportunities before being asked and take initiative to continually improve how we work.
- Coach the team to deliver outstanding customer experiences and encourage pride in everything they do.
- Ensure every part of the shop, café and kitchen is clean, organised and beautifully presented at all times.
- Take pride in the little details—from the music playing and fresh flowers to how the cakes are displayed and the shelves are stocked.
- Oversee stock ordering, stock control and supplier relationships.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, health & safety and licensing standards.
- Support workshops, private events and evening services.
- Lead by example, creating a positive, supportive and hardworking culture.
You might be the perfect fit if...
- You naturally notice what needs doing and get on with it.
- You love creating beautiful spaces and memorable customer experiences.
- You have a genuine interest in food and drink and enjoy discovering new ingredients, producers, dishes, wines and cocktails.
- You enjoy mentoring people and helping a team grow in confidence.
- You're as happy serving coffee as you are merchandising shelves or hosting an evening event.
- You take real pride in cleanliness, organisation and presentation.
- You're organised, calm and able to prioritise in a busy environment.
- You're passionate about independent businesses, great food, coffee and wine.
- You bring ideas, not just solutions—you'll help shape the future of Frankie's Studio.
- You enjoy working as part of a close-knit team and aren't afraid to roll your sleeves up wherever needed.
Hours
Up to 30 hours per week (3–4 days).
Weekend and evening working is an essential part of the role, although you won't be expected to work every weekend.
Flexibility to support workshops, events and busy trading periods.
What we offer
- The opportunity to help build and shape a growing independent business.
- A creative and varied role where no two days are the same.
- Genuine autonomy to influence new ideas, events and the future direction of Frankie's Studio.
- Staff discount.
- Training and opportunities for professional development.
